Overview

Kalkata Protected Site has been declared by Order No. 25 of January 9, 1989. It is located in the southeastern direction next to the village of Kosti and the Veleka River. The area covers part of the land of the village and is 18.9 ha.

It was declared in order to protect the nesting ground of a pair of owls. For this reason, the protected area is also popular as the "Owl".
