Kavarna

Kavarna is a Bulgarian town, administrative and economic center of the municipality of the same name Kavarna. It is located in the middle parts of the northern Bulgarian Black Sea coast, south of Cape Kaliakra. The population of the town is about 11,368 inhabitants. The town is located 48 km from the regional center of Dobrich, 18 km from Balchik, 20 km from Shabla, 38 km from Durankulak, 60 km from Varna and 500 km from the capital Sofia. Kavarna is an attractive town not only as a resort, but also with its long history and cultural and historical sights. Near the town are the archeological reserves Cape Kaliakra and Yailata.
