Veikata peak Kirkovo
Overview
Veikata is the highest peak of the eastern Rhodope hill Gyumyurjinski Snezhnik, with a height of 1463 m above sea level. The state border between Bulgaria and Greece runs along its ridge. It is marked with a border pyramid №4. In the same hill is the highest peak in the Eastern Rhodopes - Orlitsa, but it is on the territory of Greece. Veikata Peak is also the southernmost geographical point in Bulgaria.
