Thracian Necropolis, Rezovo village
Overview
Rezovo is the southernmost settlement on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. It is located 11 km south of Sinemorets, 17 km from Ahtopol, 5 km from the protected area Silistar, a few hundred meters north of the Turkish border, 31 km from Tsarevo, 36 km from Lozenets and 93 km from the regional center of Burgas . In the past, access to the village was limited, but today it is free. In the past, Rezovo was a port settlement. There are traces of metallurgical activity in its vicinity in many places. About 5 km west of Rezovo, in the area of Zguriite, is the largest deposit of ancient slag in Bulgaria. Its quantity is estimated at several hundred thousand tons. In the area of Selski dol, 3-4 km west of the village, in addition to ore mining, there is also a Thracian mound necropolis.
