The elephant Kirkovo

Overview

The rock formation "Elephant" near the village of Kayaloba is located among the "stone field" in the eastern part of the village, after Jami Mahle (the neighborhood with the mosque), about 300 meters (after the second turn). The formation is strikingly reminiscent of the figure of an elephant, especially when viewed from the east, while on the other side (back) it looks like an alien ship with open hatches (which is why the rock is also known as "Alien").

The "trunk" forms an arched hole, used by locals as a healing proverb. From time immemorial, locals believe that the place is sacred and high-energy and come to leave a garment to help them heal. Many clothes, threads, towels, etc. can be hung in the "legs" of the elephant and in the surrounding bushes.
