Ribino protected area
Overview
Ribino Protected Area is located on a territory with a total area of 66.3 ha, of which 23.5 ha in the land of the village of Ribino and 42.8 ha in the land of the village of Samovila.
It was declared in order to protect populations of protected and endangered species of animals and plants such as great horseshoe bat, small horseshoe bat, southern horseshoe bat, Mediterranean horseshoe bat, Mecheli horseshoe bat, tricolor nightingale, cave bat, long-winged bat, etc., and to protect a karst landscape, including rock massifs, springs and caves.
