Overview

The Orthodox Church of St. Panteleimon is located in the center of Hissarya. It was built in 1889. The most impressive are the frescoes, recreating almost all biblical stories. The patron saint of the church is a healer of early Christianity and is the patron saint of the citizens and guests of Hissarya. During the period 1999-2004 the church was renovated and painted again inside and out. The temple is active and weddings are held in it.
