Overview

The church “St. Dimitar ”in Verigovo is the oldest in the city. It was built in 1845-1850. Burned down during the April Uprising, it was rebuilt in 1882. In 1856 the first cell school in the village was built in the churchyard. It has been declared a cultural monument. The temple holiday is celebrated on October 26, when the local council is held.
