Dobrich

Dobrich (Tolbuhin in the period 1949-1990, named after Soviet Marshal Fyodor Tolbuhin) is a city in northeastern Bulgaria, the administrative and economic center of Dobrich region. It is located in the southern part of the historical-geographical region of Dobrudja. The city is the ninth largest in the country with a population of 80,936 inhabitants. The town of Dobrich is located in the Danube plain on the Dobrudzha plateau. The Municipality of Dobrich has conditions for the development of tourism, which is determined by a number of favorable conditions. Leading among them are the rich cultural and historical heritage, tourist sites such as "Old Dobrich", Art Gallery, Center for Nature and Animal Protection, international festivals, fairs, proximity to seaside resorts. The implementation of cross-border infrastructure projects and cross-border cooperation projects will open new opportunities for intensive development of international tourism in the municipality. Dobrich has a well-developed sports base, which creates conditions for the active organization of national and international competitions, to attract training camps for foreign teams. Dobrich is among 100 national tourist sites, Bulgarian Tourist Union: Open Museum Ethnographic Complex "Old Dobrich", House-Monument "Yordan Yovkov".
