Skaklya Waterfall
Overview
Skaklya Waterfall is located in the Iskar Gorge, near Bov station. This is one of the most beautiful and high waterfalls in Bulgaria. The area and the waterfall were Ivan Vazov's favorite place for recreation.
The waters of "Skaklya" fly from a height of 80 m. An eco-trail has been built around the waterfall with suitable places for picnics and relaxation. The eco-trail itself has two ends. The lower end is located near the station Bov - on the main road there is a sign indicating the eco-trail.
The upper end of the eco-trail can be reached by taking the detour to the village of "Zasele" and after about 15 minutes of climbing steep turns by car you reach the center of the village, where there is also a sign.
