NATURAL PHENOMENON JUGLA
Overview
The Juglata rock formation is located near the railway station in the village of Tserovo, 6 km north of Svoge. This natural phenomenon, formed by red quartz sandstones, about 250 million years old, is 18 meters high and resembles a mushroom. According to some people, it even looks like a human head. It is built of horizontal rock layers that survived the millennial destructive activity of the Iskar River. The Jugla was declared a natural landmark in 1964.
