Popina Luka waterfall

Overview

Popinolashki waterfall was declared a natural landmark in 1965. The waterfall is located on the river Bashliytsa, a hundred meters above its confluence with the river Sarchaliytsa, which together give rise to the river Sandanska Bistritsa.

This natural phenomenon is full of water all year round. Here the crystal clear water falls beautifully from a height of about 12-13 m. The area is excellent for fishing and hiking.
Quite close to the natural landmark is the Yane Sandanski hut, which can be reached in about 5-6 minutes. In the vicinity is located the resort village "Turkish Church".
