Tourist visitor center Kaynardzha village
Overview
The tourist visitor center was built in the area of the "Historical Fountain", where, in 1774 the Kyuchukkaynardzhan peace treaty between Russia and Turkey was signed. The center has a hall for about 40 people, where documentaries of films dedicated to the events of 1774 are shown.
The center opened in 2014 and is visited by about 2,000 people a year. Bulgarian tourists predominate, interested in the exhibitions about the Russo-Turkish War (1768-1774), connect with the history and ethnography of the municipality of Kaynardzha. Visitors also receive information about the numerous migrations of the population of South Dobrudja.
The Tourist Center has started collecting local history activities related to the municipality of Kaynardzha. The center aims to work with scientific and cultural institutions, to validate the historical heritage of this Bulgarian region.
