Thracian dolmen
Overview
The dolmen near the village of Plevun is a megalithic burial structure (5th-1st century BC), declared an archeological cultural monument of national importance. The latest megalithic Thracian monument discovered so far and one of the rarest as an architectural type, combining the archaic traditions of the Early Iron Age with the new achievements of Hellenism (has a modern plan, typical of the monumental tombs of V-III century BC).
