Overview
The area of today's village has been inhabited for thousands of years. There is a Thracian mound in its vicinity, and in the area of "Klise Kolak" remains of a Thracian settlement have been discovered. Later, in the early Middle Ages (VIII-IX centuries), a large old Bulgarian settlement appeared near it, which lasted until the middle of the XI century, when it was devastated by the Pechenegs.
