Winery Zagreus

Overview

Zagreus Winery is located in the Old Vineyards area - 3 km after Popovitsa, on the right, on the road to Parvomay.

The winery is a modern complex with a fully completed production cycle, starting with the grapes and ending with a bottle of wine. Equipped with the most modern fermentation equipment with the ability to optimize and control all processes of vinification, maturation, stabilization and bottling of wines.

The physico-chemical laboratory is equipped with modern equipment, allowing for precise mechanical, physico-chemical and microbiological control, as well as incoming raw materials and finished products.

The beginning of the vineyard is set in the autumn of 1998. With each passing year it grows, and so far 1200 decares have been planted and it tends to expand. The varieties that are grown are Mavrud, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. Since 2010, the vineyards are grown according to the standards of the European Union for organic production.

The vineyard is located in one of the most favorable in terms of soil and climate in Bulgaria - Plovdiv field, which is part of the Upper Thracian lowlands.
