Brashlyan village
Overview
The village of Brashlyan is a beautiful Bulgarian village. It is located in Strandzha, 15 km northwest of Malko Tarnovo and 60 km south of Bourgas. It is part of the Strandja Nature Park. Since 1982, the village of Brashlyan has been declared an architectural and historical reserve. It preserves authentic houses typical of Strandzha architecture from the 18th - 19th century. The oldest house in the village was built in the 17th century. At that time the village was called Sarmashik.
