Chapel of the Nativity of the Virgin Belozem village
Overview
The Nativity of the Mother of God is an Orthodox chapel in the village of Belozem, Plovdiv region, Bulgaria. It is located next to the junction of Trakia Highway and the road Belozem - Shishmantsi.
The construction of the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God began in 2009, with BGN 27,000 provided by the state for its construction. The land is a donation from Byalka Borisova Kehayova, with roots in the village of Belozem, but living in Sofia for many years. She donated 6 decares of land in the village of the Plovdiv metropolitanate. The diocese, on the other hand, provides it to the village free of charge for the construction of an Orthodox chapel. Many people associated with the village, representatives of political parties and priests helped to complete the temple. Great merit goes to the parish priest Peter Shalamanov, who for this activity was promoted in the Sacred Butler.
On September 29, 2013, the chapel was inaugurated with a liturgy led by Metropolitan Nikolay Plovdivski.
