Overview

After the signing of the Craiova Agreement (September 7, 1940), the Bulgarian political power was established on the territory with the entry of Bulgarian troops on September 21, 1940. The local administration was gradually formed, which pursued economic and structural policy for economic stabilization and social development. The main livelihoods of the population are agriculture, cattle breeding, and crafts. Measures to support economic development in the period 1942-1943 include the landing of low-income locals and migrants. During the Second World War, residents of the municipality took part and a monument was erected.
