Museum exposition of urban life - Dryanovo

Overview

The exposition is located in the Lafchieva house. It presents the arrangement of a wealthy Dryanovo family from the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. The furniture reflects the mixture of local and Western European trends typical for this period. Exhibits of clothes and jewelry are also presented. Visitors can read the "code of the Dryanovo costume", which is marked only in the embroidery on the edge of the dress. As is known, after the fall under Turkish rule, many boyar families settled here. The reflection of the medieval aristocratic women's jewelry is still visible in the traditional folk costume of the Dryanovka in the rich and beautiful earrings, chin guards, buckles, bracelets and other jewelry. The home craft weaving, fabrics and clothing, typical for the Dryanovo region, is shown.
