Zahari Stoyanov House Museum, Ruse
Overview
The exposition "Family Obretenovi" in the museum house "Zahari Stoyanov" was opened because of the interest of Ruse residents and guests of our city to this famous Revival family. In 1958 in Ruse in the house of Nikola Obretenov, son of Baba Tonka, a museum "Baba Tonka" was arranged and opened, where the visitor gets acquainted with the economic and political life of the Ruse region during the Ottoman era, and a central place is assigned of the struggle for liberation. In the minds of most Bulgarians, the name of Grandma Tonka is associated with the struggle of the Bulgarian Revival Society for spiritual and political liberation.
