В град Брацигово, в къща - музей "Петлешков" и до днес се съхранява историята на великия български революционер - Васил Петлешков. Освен че бил значим участник в Априлското въстание, под негово ръководство е създадено и българското читалище "Трендафил" в градчето. Това е родната къща на Васил Ангелов Петлешков. Построена през 18 в.от родителите на родния му баща Найден Велчев и реставрирана през 1976 г. В този дом на 14.01.1845 г. е роден Васил Петлешков в семейството на Екатерина и Найден Велчеви. Бащата умира рано. Майката се омъжва за брациговския чорбаджия Ангел Петлешков, който осиновява сина й. През 1873 г. Петлешков завършва в Цариград “стодневни” курсове за аптекар. Завърнал се в родното Брацигово, той неуморно работи за културното издигане на населението. Под негово ръководство през 1874 г. е създадено читалище ”Тръндафил”, на което той е председател.
В навечерието на въстанието, от 14 до 16 април , апостолите от ІV революционен окръг свикват историческото събрание в местността Оборище. Тук присъства и Васил Петлешков. Той е избран за председател на комисията, която трябва да изработи военния план на въстанието в окръга и възванието към народа.
Думите му “Сам съм- други няма. Аз водих, аз заповядах, други не търсете” изречени между пламъците на два огъня, останаха за вечни времена в нашата история.

In the town of Bratsigovo, in a house-museum "Petleshkov" the history of the great Bulgarian revolutionary - Vasil Petleshkov is still preserved. Apart from being a significant participant in the April Uprising, under his leadership the Bulgarian Chitalishte /culture and art center/ "Trendafil" was established in the town. This is the birth house of Vasil Angelov Petleshkov. Built in the 18th century by the parents of his father Naiden Velchev and restored in 1976. Vasil Petleshkov was born in this home on January 14, 1845 in the family of Ekaterina and Naiden Velchevi. The father died early. The mother married Angel Petleshkov from Bratsigovo, who adopted her son. In 1873, Petleshkov completed a "hundred-day" pharmacy course in Constantinople. Returning to his native Bratsigovo, he worked tirelessly for the cultural uplift of the population. Under his leadership in 1874 was established chitalishte /culture and art center/ "Trendafil", of which he is chairman.
On the eve of the uprising, from April 14 to 16, the apostles of the Fourth Revolutionary District convened the historic assembly in the Oborishte area. Vasil Petleshkov is also present here. He was elected chairman of the commission that was to draw up the military plan for the district uprising and the appeal to the people.
His words “I am alone - there are no others. I led, I commanded, do not seek others ”uttered between the flames of two fires, remained forever in our history.
