Overview

The Ethnographic Exposition is located in "Kanevi houses" - another remarkable architectural monument of culture. It was opened in 1986 and reveals the livelihood, way of life and customs of the population of Bratsigovo and the region.

Kanevi house was built in the 18th century and was restored in 1986. It is also the ethnographic museum of the town, which exhibits items and equipment for life, livelihood, crafts, clothing and culture of the inhabitants of Bratsigovo and the region.
The exposition is made in several directions: "Agriculture", "Logging", "Crafts". Shown with photos and original tools is the cultivation of the land, the processing of roses in 150 gulpans / rosaries /, as in the past the oil-bearing rose occupied large areas of arable land not only in Bratsigovo but also in the villages of Rozovo, Kozarsko, Byaga. Exhibited are parts of the bull farms that existed on the rivers around the city, as well as equipment from cathedral workshops.
Home crafts are presented with original items: hurki, spindle, spools, darats, loom for weaving rugs.
The traditional clothes from the region are also on display.
In the ethnographic collection of Kaneva House you can also see the Bratsigovo holidays and customs.
