Art gallery Seryakova house
Overview
Seryakova house is located on the site of the native house of Georgi Seryakov (Gio), Botev Chetnik, who died in 1876 on Milin Kamak in the Vratsa Balkans.
In 1991 it was provided by the Municipality of Troyan to the Society of Trojan Artists for their headquarters, as well as for the city art gallery.
In 2016 it became one of the sites of the Museum of Folk Arts and Crafts - Troyan. The material base, maintained and modernized through numerous projects, speaks of good and ambitious owners over the years.
Seryakova House Gallery is exactly what its noble facade promises: style, coziness, own atmosphere. The five exhibition halls, the gallery office, the souvenir stand, the Art Club cafe-bar offer their hospitality to anyone who chooses to escape for a while from the rhythm of everyday life. Here one can view another exhibition, attend a jazz or classical chamber concert, come across a book premiere, find a boutique gift or just enjoy a relaxing sip of coffee. Seryakova House is one of the Trojan islands of spirituality and city life.
About 16 solo and group exhibitions are organized in the gallery every year.
Traditional are the Spring Exhibition, which always opens on Holy Thursday, and the Autumn Salon, which opens on the eve of Petkovden - the holiday of the town of Troyan.
In addition to works by contemporary authors, thematically works from the Museum's collection are also displayed.
The gallery sells paintings, icons, ceramics, jewelry, painted scarves, art photographs, works of art made of wood and glass, books and more.
The soul of the house is the gallery owner Mariela Shoshkova, who invests a lot of energy and love to maintain this place as a home of art and good taste. The gallery works with artists from Troyan, Sofia, Pleven, Lovech and other cities, including abroad. Every year about 6000 guests pass through it - artists, musicians, writers and translators, patrons, students, Bulgarian and foreign tourists. The hosts of the "Art Club" know how to greet with style.
