The exhibition was established in 1971 and since then 40 years of tradition and modern art go hand in hand.
Since the establishment of the National Exhibition, the following have been held here:

Exhibitions of masters of folk arts and crafts and applied arts are organized monthly in the National Exhibition. Along with this, young authors from the country and the region are presented, whose artistic pursuits go beyond the boundaries of tradition and take us to a new world of colors, figures and compositions. Their works carry the emotion of experimenting with form and material.
The national exhibition is unique, both with the exhibits and with the opportunity for visitors to actually participate in the production of handicrafts and objects. In each hall there is an equipped demonstration corner, where each guest can not only watch how the objects of folk crafts are made, but also try to touch the typical crafts of the region - pottery, woodcarving, pyrography and weaving. Creating with their hands something original and original, in this way the guests touch the essence of the craft, taking with them not only the object (souvenir), but also the memory of a unique experience. The realization of this idea aims to turn the practice of some of the traditional crafts of the Trojan region into a kind of Art Therapy.
Today, the National Exhibition is a modern and functional facility that can present national and European art, and realize its goal - to become a European center of crafts.
