Bread House village of Lobosh
Overview
A bread house opened its doors in the Kovachevtsi village of Lobosh, Kovachevtsi on December 17, 2013. The initiative is implemented under a cross-border project cooperation by restoring an old oven that is not worked for 40 years. In the bakery, everyone can knead their own bread
and bake it in the oven. Consultants help tourists who want to learn the secret of the bakery craft. There is a dining room in Old Bulgarian style.
This is the third typical bakery in Bulgaria. The mission of bakery is to unite people and turn them into love the art of kneading the subsistence. There are 14 such houses in the world.
In the Bread House, everyone who "kneads to mix" meets for bread!

The Bread Houses network was established by Dr. Nadezhda Savova-Grigorova, a cultural anthropologist at Princeton University in the United States. While pursuing her PhD, she has traveled to more than 75 countries, exploring different cultural and bread traditions, for which she was honored by the national edition of National Geographic for "Mission Traveler of the Year 2012". In 2009, in place of the old craft shop of Nadezhda's great-grandmother in Gabrovo, the first Bread House was experimented and created, which aroused the enthusiasm of a group of volunteers and quickly became one of the newest and most innovative community centers in Bulgaria, "St. St. Damascene and Onufriy Gabrovsky-2011 ”.
The Bread House was founded by Dr. Nadezhda Savova-Grigorova, a cultural anthropologist at Princeton University in the United States. The bakery proves to be a unique and successful model of a socio-cultural center. The vision of M3C is to develop a network of community centers and their similar cultural associations of community cultural centers around the world, currently connecting more than 50 countries from 6 continents.
Through the collective kneading and decorating of bread and the creation of art during the baking of bread, a cozy and creative environment is created for social contacts, inclusion of different ethnic groups, as well as people with special needs and others. They teach on topics in healthy eating, agriculture and ecology. They revive the love for nature connected with the cultural heritage, through excursions and mountain tourism on the basis of the Scout principles and methodology for survival, leadership and humanity. They inspire the local and national Bulgarian traditions as a way to strengthen the natural process of continuity between the generations as a basis for the sense of belonging to the past, connection with the present and thought for the future. They combine traditional and contemporary art through innovative exhibitions, events and projects. Local crafts and forgotten turbans are revived.
