Overview

The Ethnographic-Revival complex "Sofroniy Vrachanski" is part of the Regional Historical Museum in Vratsa. The museum was established between 1972 and 1987 and includes Revival houses in the typical architectural style of this region. In front of the entrance of the complex rises a statue of Sofroniy Vrachanski, the work of the sculptor Krum Damyanov. The complex consists of three Revival houses and a school and two public buildings from the same period, the Church of the Holy Ascension, as well as the first secular school in Vratsa. Part of the collection is the Museum of the carriage, telling about the pride of Vratsa - the manufacturer Mito Orozov. The bread oven, the geranium and the stone fountains, reconstructed in the yard of the ethnographic complex, as well as the walls and gates typical for their time, complete the idea of the traditions in the Vratsa Revival construction.
