Profit-Yielding Building - Ruse
Overview
The Profit-Yielding Building is a valuable architectural monument designed by Viennese architect Peter Paul Brank. It was built in the period 1898 - 1902 in the central part of Ruse. The name derives from the idea that the building brought to the then school board income from the rents for the planned shops, theater, library and casino. Today, the Revenue Building is a cultural monument and one of the symbols of the city, along with the Freedom Monument. The facade of the building is in neoclassical style, decorated with plastic ornaments and architectural details typical of the late 19th century. The seven figures of the Income Building, symbolizing art, science, agriculture, crafts, trade, defense and the spirit, continue to provide guidelines for the building's usefulness, namely: a venue for cultural events, concerts and theater performances, a conference venue and exhibitions, a place for exhibitions and other artistic performances. The capacity of the halls in the Revenue Building is as follows: ·
Large hall - 600 seats;
