Pordim
Pordim () is a town in Northern Bulgaria. It is located in pleven region, close to the regional center (20 km). The first telephone connection in Bulgaria was held in the current town of Prdim. This happened in 1877 during the Russo-Turkish War during the siege of Pleven. The connection was made between King Carol I of the Headquarters of the Romanian Army and Prince Nikolay Nikolaevich from the headquarters of the Russian Army. Today, both buildings are museums. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Liberation, from January 13, 1978, Prdim has the status of a city.
