Sahat Mosque

Overview

Sahat Mosque is a Muslim temple located in the north central part of Targovishte, has the status of a cultural monument of local importance. Near the church is the church "St. Ivan Rilski". The temple was built in 1722. It is called Sahat because there used to be a clock tower next to it. Inside the walls are lined with decorative faience tiles. An elegant chandelier hangs in the center of the prayer hall. At the entrance of the prayer hall an additional wooden building is set aside for women and children.
