Resilovski Monastery Pokrov Bogorodichen

Overview

Resilovski Monastery Pokrov Bogorodichen (the Protection of the Mother of God) is a permanent nunnery. Its construction began in 1932. Funds were raised through donations from surrounding areas. A significant amount was also received from King Boris III. The monastery was completed and solemnly consecrated by Bishop Flavian of Znepol in 1940. In 1995 the monastery has been basically reconstructed. New residential buildings and a church were built. Temple holiday of the Resilovo Monastery Protection of the Mother of God is October 1.
