Kedik Chal Nature Park

Overview

The park is located in the center of the village of Raven, at the entrance from Momchilgrad. It consists of 21 centuries-old trees, represented by species of hornbeam and hairy oak, aged 400 - 500 years. There are also different species of protected birds, and in the area of Kedikchal Park you can find various herbs and rare beautiful plants. "Kedikchal" preserves the remains of the ancient forest, which once covered the territory of the Eastern Rhodopes and described by chroniclers as the Great Bulgarian Forest.
