Saints Cyril and Methodius Monument in Sofia
Overview
The monument of Saints Cyril and Methodius in front of the National Library is created by the sculptor Vladimir Ginovski in 1975. On May 24, the Day of Slavonic Alphabet, Bulgarian Enlightenment, and Culture, celebrations are held here.
This day has been celebrated for more than 160 years now – no other holiday was so long celebrated in Bulgarian late history.
