Monument to Vasil Levski - Levski
Overview
The monument of Vasil Levski, whose name the town of Levski , was erected in the station square after a decision of the City People's Council in 1974. This is one of the most successful interpretations of the image of the Apostle in Bulgaria. The author of the monument is the sculptor Rilcho Iliev, born in the town of Levski. Every year on February 19, as well as on July 18, the monument is filled with flowers and wreaths in memory of its patron Vasil Levski, and the citizens and guests of the city pay tribute and bow their heads before his feat.
