Bulgarian Aviators Monument

Overview

The monument to all Bulgarian aviators stands in Crystal Park, opposite the Sofia University and only a stone's throw from Alexander Nevski Cathedral. It consists of two statues, the first is dedicated to the Bulgarian pilots killed in the wars from 1912 to 1945, and the second - to the Bulgarian paratroopers who died in the line of duty. Highly detailed, the first statue shows a pilot, there is a plaque adjacent with an outline of why the monument is here and to whom it pays respect under the title "Higher And Higher. To Bulgarian aviators. From Bulgarian students."
