Memorial plaque of Philip Stanislavov
Overview
A memorial plaque of Philip Stanislavov, a Bulgarian bishop of the Nikopol diocese, was officially unveiled on August 8, 2012 in Nikopol. Petko Hristov - XXV Bishop of Nikopol. For this purpose, in 2011 the Napredak 1871 Community Center launched the fundraising campaign "Local Philanthropy - Mission Possible" to raise funds for its construction. The plaque was made by the sculptor Kiril Meskin, a native of the village of Asenovo. The two paternal and maternal grandfathers of Prof. Meskin are donors of significant sums for their time for the construction and painting of the Holy Trinity Church in the village of Asenovo by the famous Hungarian artist Jozev Kish. They also took care to donate for the wrought iron construction of the fence and the cross of the temple.
