Museum collection in Momchilovtsi
Overview
It was arranged in 1981 in a specially built building in the center of the village. Presents the history of the village Momchilovtsi from its first settlers to the present day. Priority is given to local traditional crafts - tailoring and tailoring, masonry and stonemasonry, salt-making, etc., reflecting the main livelihood of the local population until the middle of the twentieth century. The art gallery of the collection shows works of art with Rhodope themes by prominent Bulgarian masters of the brush, including the native of the village of Momchilovtsi Prof. Mihail Karapaunov. Unique for the gallery is the painting of Ivan Markvichka "Wedding in Momchilovtsi", painted during his stay in the village.
