Overview

The ethnographic museum in the picturesque village of Shiroka Laka is arranged in the building of Zgurovski konak. The house was built in 1853. and was called a "konak" because it was owned by an administrative officer. It has preserved Revival architecture, typical of this area - two-storey, with bay windows, high stone chimney, thick walls, wrought iron doors, small windows, internal wooden stairs. The museum exposition shows the way of life and customs of the people from this region and the arrangement of the old Rhodope house.
