6 km from the town of Apriltsi in the direction of Gabrovo is the village of Kravenik, the center of the April Uprising in 1876. On November 5, 1961 in the house by candlelight. Ivan Penkov opens a museum exhibition of April and the heroic past of Kravenik. The house-museum bears the inscription "In this house in 1876 the leaders of the April Uprising in the village of Kravenik took the oath." The ethnographic exposition of the house-museum has a large number of exhibits related to the life and culture of the population in the village of Kravenik. The main idea of ​​the museum collection is to preserve for generations the past of the village of Kravenik, to maintain the patriotic spirit of the Bulgarians, because if we do not respect the past, we have no right to look to the future.
