Pumpkin Museum - Sevlievo
Overview
The Pumpkin Museum was opened during the 2012 Orange Temptation Festival in Sevlievo. It is the only one of its kind in Bulgaria. The guests of the complex can see the exhibition with the awarded works from the competitions Pumpkin Fantasies, Pumpkin Top and Pumpkin Temptations. Among the other exhibits of the museum are preserved authentic photos that trace the events, concerts, studios and other events related to the celebrations in Sevlievo over the years. One of the most interesting photos are the photos of the awarded owners and their animals during the Sliven Fair, held in 1923. In the Pumpkin Museum you can see various souvenirs made in the shape of a pumpkin, such as money boxes, cups, candlesticks, photo frames ... You will also be captivated by the various colorful photos and drawings dedicated to the pumpkin festival. Visitors have the opportunity to view the exhibition with the awarded works from the competitions - "Pumpkin Fantasies", "Pumpkin at the Top" and "Pumpkin Temptations". In one of the three small halls, in addition to viewing an exhibition of autumn paintings, you have the opportunity to "steal" some recipes from the wall. The people of Sevlievo reveal their delicious, little secrets, duly providing their way of preparation. So, for example, you will learn how to make a pumpkin squeegee, cinnamon cake, stuffed pumpkin with dried fruit, exotic pie, pumpkin fruit salad, pizza and pumpkin buns and more, and more ... Undoubtedly hot roasted or boiled pumpkin is a delicious food that creates a pleasant feeling of home and at the same time strengthens our health. In addition to various dishes and desserts, the locals also prepare pumpkin drinks here. It may surprise you, but in Sevlievo you will have the chance to try a shake, martini and beer with pumpkin.
