Overview

Kozinarova's house in Klisura preserves the tragedy of one mother - Tsana Kozinarova. Tsana was left alone at home during the April Uprising with her four children - the youngest baby, not yet baptized, and the oldest at 4 years old. Her husband Nikola was one of the participants in the uprising. The mother can in no way seek refuge in the escape with the four children and is waiting for her husband, local historians say. However, the Turkish bashibozuzi set fire to the church neighborhood where the house is located and Tsana Kozinarova realizes that there is no way to escape. Then she decides to throw herself and her children into the well in the yard so that her family is not cut down by the ferocious hordes of Tosul Bay. Historians do not rule out that the mother hoped to simply hide, because many things were found in the well. But there is also evidence that she pressed the heads of her children so that they would not suffer for a long time. Father Nikola remained alive after the uprising, returned home and planted boxwood and a rose near the well in memory of his beloved children and wife.
