Nedkovic House
Overview
Nedkovic House is a Revival home built in 1863 entirely in the style of European classicism. Some foreign researchers liken the building to an Italian palace from the Renaissance. Its owner is the famous merchant and Revival public figure Nikola Nedkovic. The facade of the house is richly decorated with a solemn 4-column portico with round arches. The most remarkable in the interior are the symmetrically arranged rooms with geometrically ornamented ceilings and richly painted walls. The courtyard rooms feature landscapes with views of European cities. Today, Nedkovic house is home to an exhibition "Ancient city type", presenting the internal regulations of the rich Plovdiv homes from the XIX century. Furniture and belongings of Nedkovic family are on display.
