Geo Milev House Museum
Overview
On September 13, 2014, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Radnevo, Geo Milev House-Museum reopened. Guests of the event were Violeta Tsoneva-daughter-in-law of Leda Mileva, Ivan Granitski-member of the International Foundation "Geo Milev", municipal councilors, residents and guests of the city. Mrs. Tsoneva presented to the mayor of the municipality Dr. Julian Ilchev a certified copy of the Birth Certificate of Geo Milev. In addition to books, Mr. Granitski also donated original issues of Libra magazine.
The native house of the poet was renovated with own funds of the Municipality of Radnevo.
The conceptual design of the exhibition is the work of a team led by Georgi Yanev - longtime chief curator at the House-Museum "Geo Milev" in Stara Zagora, Tsvetan Chetashki - photographer - artist and gallery owner, Ivan Dimitrov - director of Art Gallery Radnevo and Petya Valeva - Chief Expert "Culture and Public Relations" in the Municipality of Radnevo. "To prepare an exhibition for two so spiritually wealthy people is really very difficult ... My idea was to have a story about the father and the son, to highlight the philosophy of both, to show a small part of the incredible work of Geo… ”- says Georgi Yanev in his speech.
