Overview

The implementation of the project "Archaeological Park" New Life for the Past "is funded by the Operational Program" Regional Development "2007-2013 under the Grant Scheme BC161R0001 / 3.1-02 / 2009" Support for the development of tourist attractions ".

The project includes the construction of a unique archaeological park, which exhibits archaeological artifacts dating from the Bronze Age to the Middle Ages, discovered in the municipality of Radnevo.

Studies have shown the richness of culture in the region of Radnevo over millennia and centuries. During the organization of this exclusive park on an area of ​​about 13 decares, monuments that no longer exist at the place where they were discovered were recreated:
1. Gate of an early Byzantine fortress with rectangular defensive towers - The fortress was discovered in the area of ​​Hisarlaka near the village of Polski Gradets;
2. Early Christian basilica - it is a three-nave, single-apse church with an undivided narthex;
3. Watchtower and outbuilding - It was located in the area of ​​Garagashkin Chair 2.5 km. North of the village of Pomoshtnik. A residential and commercial building with 5 rooms grouped around a courtyard was discovered;
4. Round tower;
5. Construction of 2 protective coatings for exposure of artifacts - construction of a copy of the burial facility; making models of artifacts from sacrifices and burials;
6. Construction of an amphitheater - construction of a zone (at the eastern end of the terrain) for recreation and recreation, representing a complex facility with polyvalent functions - an amphitheater and a support point with sanitary units with provided access for disadvantaged visitors;
7. Delivery and installation of a platform for disadvantaged people; Electrical work, execution of stone cladding and flooring, making wooden elements-railings, stairs, flooring, partitions and park elements.
The implementation of the project achieved:
Development of the Archaeological Park "New Life for the Past" as a cultural and historical attraction;
Increasing the popularity and attractiveness of Radnevo municipality as a tourist location;
Preservation and sustainable management of the archaeological and cultural-historical heritage in the Municipality of Radnevo;
