Zheravna Art Gallery
Overview
The Zheravna Art Gallery is located in the building of the mutual school (since 1867) in the Church Quarter and is in close proximity to the Church of "St. Nikolai ”. The building has two floors, in the typical Revival style of the village. The gallery's collection includes over 400 works by artists such as Mihalis Garudis, Radi Nedelchev, Stoyan Tsanev, Hristo Todorov, Marin Podmolov, Kiril Kazanlakliev, Mihail Kurdov, Lika Yanko, Nikolina Deleva and others. The gallery has a separate hall of the established Bulgarian artist - Zheravne Hristo Todorov - one of the founders of the gallery. For many years he worked as a set designer for national television, where he was also chairman of the art council. An artist with a long experience, he participates in many group exhibitions of Bulgarian authors abroad, and has participated in more than 20 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria. At the moment Hristo Todorov lives and works in his native village Zheravna.
Every year in the art gallery "Zheravna" are presented thematic exhibitions of masters of the brush from Burgas, Sofia, Sliven, etc., plein airs are organized with the participation of Bulgarian and foreign artists. The gallery often hosts exhibitions of other art galleries across the country.
