Begovitsa hut

Overview

Begovitsa hut (also known as Kamenitza hut) is located in the Pirin National Park, about an hour's drive from the town of Sandanski and is a convenient starting point for hiking in the area. To get to it, you have to go through the areas Turichka Church and Popina Laka (so far the road is paved and well maintained), then you have a choice: to continue by car on the dirt road to the hut for about 10 km. or walk and cross the marked hiking trail, which lasts about 2 - 2.5 hours. Keep in mind that the road may not be passable by car at all times, including in the summer, if there has been heavy rainfall.

From the hut you can reach several key places in Northern Pirin - Tevno Lake shelter, Spano Pole shelter, Pirin hut. The peaks you can climb in the area - Yalovarnika, Zaba, Kuklite, Kamenitza are very beautiful.
