Overview

Foros Eco Zone is located next to the Kraimorie district and the Poda Nature Protection Center. The place is suitable for ornithologists and fishermen, as well as for lovers of nature and tranquility. With its wild beauty, the eco zone annually attracts many residents and guests of the city. For the boatmen there is a functional heling, which provides access not only to rubber, but also to small boats of harder material, and for the curious eyes there is a separate green area and alley network, allowing to see from all sides and the archeological site - the tower of the Foros Peninsula.

Foros Eco Zone is located on Mandre Lake - one of the most beautiful lakes in Burgas with a water surface area of ​​about 1300 hectares. Its length is 8 km and maximum width is 1.3 km. The natural beauty of this lake is also due to the fact that its shore covers the northernmost slopes of the mysterious and still pristine Strandzha mountain. That is why some parts of the lake have been declared protected areas. One of the values ​​of Mandre Lake is that it stores large amounts of fresh water, which is an increasingly rare natural resource. The variety of different species of fish, some of which are protected, and the abundance of waterfowl, makes a visit to the Eco Zone "Foros" a real adventure and an unforgettable experience.
