Varbitsa

Varbitsa is a town in northeastern Bulgaria. It is located in Shumen district and is close to Ticha dam. The town is the administrative center of Varbitsa municipality. Varbitsa municipality is located in northeastern Bulgaria, Shoumen district. To the northeast it borders with Sungurlare municipality, Bourgas district, and to the southwest with Kotel municipality, Sliven district. From the west and northwest it borders with the municipalities of Omurtag and Targovishte, respectively. Its territory falls in the Stara Planina region, in the Fore-Balkans and the Gerlovo region, on the northern slopes of the main Stara Planina chain and the Kotel-Kamchia region.
