Ugarchin

Ugarchin () is a town in The Lovech Region of Bulgaria. The town is the administrative center of Ugarchin Municipality.It is located 33 km west of Lovech and 28 km east of Lukovit. Ugarchin is among the oldest settlements in Lovech Oblast. During ottoman rule, most of the lands belonged to pashi and bays – landowners and farmchildren. Today, the Ugarchins are mainly engaged in agriculture, livestock farming, as well as logging.
