Petrich

Ptrich () is a town in southwestern Bulgaria. It is located in blagoevgrad region and is close to the borders with Greece and North Macedonia. The town is the second largest in the region after Blagoevgrad and is the administrative center of petrich municipality. According to local kraevedi, today's town of Petrich is the heir to the ancient Thracian settlement, located at the southern foot of the Elevation of Kozhuh.
